Hi guys,
here is a description of my talking-thermia-meter.
This prototype works as an gsm-alarm-dialer and as a remote-thermometer.
It consists of a talking thermometer like
this and a Nokia mobile phone 6030 with headset.
The upper temperature of the talking-thermometer is the pannrum-temperature.
The temperature at the lower side is for the boilerwater.
If a problem with the bequem-burner occurs, the alarm-relais at the burner´s pcb is on and shorts via a cable the two contacts for key "7" on the mobile phone.
Key "7" is the shortcut to my mobilephone number.
For Remote monitoring of the burner i call the mobile phone.
Because of the connected headset, the phone answers after 3 ringing tones.
The contacts of the phones vibration-motor are contacted to the little black relais, which closes the "talk" contacts of the talking thermometer.
The voice is recorded by the headsets microphone and sent through the mobile phone in the pannrum.
Now i can hear the message with the temperatures within my pannrum and the boiler water -> see video at
http://www.wipptal.net/ttm.wmv.
I have installed a caller filter at the mobile phone usually. The phone answers only my calls.
if you want to try this prototype you can call this number for the next few weeks (the filter is off, so any number can call the phone):
+43 664 8777 370 (it is an austrian cellphone number)
if you want to keep your telephone number private dial #31# before the number!
If this system works well, i will build a nice box around...
The mobilephone is charges through a standard Nokia-Charger with a time-clock once a week for 2 hours.
The reason is: the phone doesn´t vibrate, when charged. And if it doesn´t vibrate, the relais for the talking thermometer will not go high....[/url]
Any comments and Tipps a really appreciated!
